The second assignment for ITD is a group assignment. I teamed up with Law Zhi Chang, Ong Jie En, Theresa Thia and Lettitia. For this assignment, we were required to use daily items to create abstract artworks that showed design principles and elements that we had learnt in the lecture. We also had to prepare 2 A2 presentation boards to explain about our artworks.
The tutors assigned our group with one material out of six: tulle fabric, bubble wrap, felt, shoe lace and tissue rolls. We were given shoelaces. As for the base, we chose wire mesh.

REFLECTION
Overall, it was an enjoyable experience. Although it was exhausting and took a lot of time and effort, I had a great team and we had fun while doing it, so it was worth it. Of course, I also learned a lot while doing this project. I learned a lot about abstract art, and how to bring out the meaning in an artwork indirectly. I also learned more about the design principles taught during the lectures. Lastly, I gained some experience on working with 3D materials.
