ASSIGNMENT 2A: 2D TO 3D TRANSFORMATION
For this project we were split into groups of five. My team members were Law Zhi Chang, Ong Jie En, Lettitia and Chin Cheong Soon. We had to produce 3D models based on a given keyword and following the style of a given famous architect. Our keyword is "Disturbed" and our architect is Zaha Hadid.
For the progress, we had to provide 2D sketches and concepts to show our understanding of our keyword and our architect during tutorials. Later on, we had to produce mini 3D models as a draft for our actual models, so that the tutors can approve or correct them.
REFLECTION
This was an incredibly tiring assignment and took a long time to complete. Although it was quite rushed, I was happy at the result as we received positive reviews from the tutors, especially on our 10th model. I learned a lot about producing 3D artwork through this project, including using all the 3D materials. I also learned about researching as we had to do a lot of research and understanding throughout the assignment. I also learned about architecture styles and design styles by researching on Zaha Hadid and her designs.
