ASSIGNMENT 1:
INDIVIDUAL JOURNAL
We were required to individually write and compile a journal as the first assignment in Social Psychology. 5 entries are required for this journal and all entries must consist of one psychology concept from the 5 different chapters that we have learned. We were required to use these 5 concepts and relate them to our own real-life experiences. The concpets that I have chosen to write about are: Confirmation Bias, Heuristics, Persuasion, Social Facilitation and Post-Decision Dissonance.
REFLECTION
This assignment has deepened my understanding of the psychology concepts taught during class. Putting the concepts into real-life contexts that I am familiar with has taught me the meaning of these concepts, and how useful they are in our daily lives. Understanding these concepts can improve our social interactions, our cognitive processes and the way we perceive things. I have also improved my writing skills while doing this assignment.
